Terms of Service

1. Service Overview

Reports.VIN provides users with the ability to purchase credits and access vehicle history reports generated using third-party data sources.

Reports.VIN is an independent platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Carfax Inc. or any other external data providers.

Information contained within reports may include inaccuracies or omissions beyond our control.

2. Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms:

  • Credits — prepaid units purchased by the user and consumed when requesting reports
  • Report — a digital vehicle history document generated upon user request using external data sources
  • Delivery / Delivered — the report has been successfully generated and made accessible within the user's account dashboard, as confirmed by system records

3. User Obligations

By using the service, users agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information
  • Use the platform in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Exercise independent judgment when relying on report data

4. Account Responsibility

Users are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials.

Any activity performed under a user account is considered authorized by the account holder.

5. Additional Terms & Platform Rules

All rules regarding prohibited activities, system protection, digital delivery verification, account suspension or termination, disclaimers, and limitations of liability are outlined in the Platform Access & Digital Service Terms and apply to all users of Reports.VIN.

6. Payments & Refund Policy

6.1. Completion of Digital Services

A service is considered fully provided once a report has been successfully generated and made available in the user's account dashboard.

After delivery, refunds are not available except where required by applicable law.

6.2. Eligibility for Refunds

Refund requests may be approved if all of the following conditions are met:

  • The request is submitted within seven (7) days of purchase
  • No credits have been used
  • No reports have been generated or delivered
  • The user has not violated these Terms

6.3. Non-Refundable Cases

Refunds will not be issued in the following situations:

  • Any credits have been used
  • A report has already been generated or delivered
  • Credits were granted as promotional bonuses
  • A purchased package has been partially consumed
  • A violation of these Terms has occurred
  • A chargeback or dispute has been initiated without valid grounds

6.4. Refund Procedure

Refund requests must be submitted via email to [email protected].

  • Requests are reviewed within 48 hours
  • Approved refunds are processed within 3–10 business days

6.5. PayPal Disputes & Chargebacks

If a dispute or chargeback is initiated (including via PayPal), Reports.VIN reserves the right to temporarily restrict account access while the matter is under review.

We may submit evidence to payment providers demonstrating service delivery and authorized account usage, including:

  • Report generation records
  • Confirmation of delivery to the user dashboard
  • Credit usage history
  • Login activity and timestamps
  • Relevant technical identifiers

If a dispute is determined to be abusive, fraudulent, or unjustified, Reports.VIN may permanently restrict access to the platform and terminate the account. Any remaining credits may be forfeited.

7. Service Availability

Access to the platform may be temporarily interrupted due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues.
